CEC Designs and Installs 4 Stress Relief/Ferritic Anneal Furnaces for Bosch Chassis
Kennesaw, GA (March 17, 2009) – Bosch Chassis Systems, a division of The Bosch Group, has contracted with Consolidated Engineering Company (CEC) to design and manufacture four stress relief/ferritic annealing furnaces for their Dalian, China facility. The Dalian plant is expanding into the processing of cast iron components and required heat treat capacity for two thermal processes – stress relief and ferritic annealing.

PAL-CON, Ltd purchases Bell Brazing Furnace from CEC
Kennesaw, GA (October 22, 2008) – PAL-CON, a well known company that repairs, maintains, and manufactures Gas Turbine Regenerators, has signed an agreement with Consolidated Engineering Company (CEC) for a bell brazing furnace. This furnace will be used to braze together the stainless steel of their regenerative heat exchangers in a highly proprietary process that requires three different protective cover gases. The design of this furnace requires a large retort that houses the product and protective gases.

CEC Sells a Side Loaded Furnace to Power Generation Equipment Manufacturer
Kennesaw, GA (October 14, 2008) – A major international manufacturer of power generation and rail transport equipment has contracted with Consolidated Engineering Company (CEC) to design and manufacture a side-loaded high/low temperature furnace for their manufacturing facility in China. The project requirements called for equipment that could handle a very narrow range of acceptable thermal uniformity, a rapid heat up of the empty chamber from ambient to 1200°F within six hours, heat-up of 10 Tons of steel tubes within thirty minutes and the processing of multiple different lengths of steel tubes with varying time frames.

CEC to Supply Drop Bottom Furnace to a major Aerospace Manufacturer
Kennesaw, GA (September 9, 2008) – A major aerospace manufacturer has contracted with Consolidated Engineering Company (CEC) for a drop bottom furnace, to be to be installed in a foundry for aerospace castings in Iowa.
The parts being treated are a critical component on the aircraft and must be treated in a precisely controlled manner. Upon inspection of the furnace specifications and engineering documentation, this customer felt that CEC had the superior design with regard to heat-up, thermal uniformity and quenching. Currently these parts are being processed using pit furnace equipment.

D-J needed a furnace that could handle a wide thermal range of 700°-1350°F with only a +/- 8°F tolerance in uniformity and that had the ability to control cool the parts from 1350°F down to 700°F..
