Scott P. Crafton, CEO & Chairman of the Board
Scott Crafton has held the position of Chairman, President, or CEO of CEC for 23 years and has more than 32 years of service at CEC. Mr. Crafton has previously held the positions of Vice President, General Manager and Engineering Manager at CEC prior to his acceptance of the post of President and CEO in 1991. Mr. Crafton is considered one of the world's leading experts in automated aluminum casting processing and is listed as an inventor on 92 of the 107 active U.S. and foreign patents held by CEC. He is also listed as an inventor on numerous pending patent applications. His manufacturing process patents and machinery designs have allowed casting manufacturers to save significant energy and costs.

Mr. Crafton attended Cornell University and Georgia State University studying Engineering and Business respectively.

Paul M. Crafton, President
Paul M. Crafton holds the position of President, and manages the marketing department, plant operations and estimating. Prior to this position, he was a Senior Vice President and worked in CEC's Oven & Furnace Sales division. He also oversaw CEC's R&D expansion and numerous projects related to validating and improving Sand Lion® and casting processes. Paul is in is 24th year of his service to CEC, starting as a fabricator of CEC equipment for three years and running all plant operations as Plant Manager for ten years. He is listed as an inventor on 44 of the 107 active U.S. and foreign patents held by CEC. He is also listed as an inventor on numerous pending patent applications.

J. Alan Letson, Chief Financial Officer
Alan joined CEC in 1998, after having served in a similar role at another Atlanta based manufacturing company. He began his career in public accounting in 1980 with KPMG.  Alan has extensive experience in construction / manufacturing accounting, international (foreign) subsidiaries, and corporate income taxes.   Alan is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia with a BS degree in Industrial Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Georgia State University.

Volker R. Knobloch, Sr. VP of Foundry
Volker started his foundry career as a apprentice in a German iron foundry. Later he earned his degree as a Graduated Foundry Engineer. Volker worked with and for several well known foundries and foundry equipment suppliers worldwide. He held managerial positions in Sales and Marketing, in General Contracting and his installations can be found in different places of the world.

In 1996, Volker came to CEC from a Swiss foundry system supplier. He is now responsible for foundry applications worldwide and is also overseeing the general activities in China.

Several presentations and papers have his name. He is listed as an inventor on several of the US and foreign patents held by CEC. He is member of American and German Foundry and Engineering Associations

Robert D. Howard, Manager of Oven/Furnace Sales
Robert Howard has almost forty years of experience in the design, manufacture, and sales of custom engineered thermal systems. Mr. Howard began his career designing industrial furnaces in 1973 and has served four different furnace and oven companies and has participated in well over 500 major engineered thermal projects. Mr. Howard has patents in heat treating, quenching, and poly (alkylene) glycol reclamation. Mr. Howard has written a Chapter on aluminum heat treatment in the “Handbook of Aluminum, 2003”, and he has presented several papers for industry publication & seminars. Mr. Howard taught design at community college, and he is a graduate of Emporia State University.

Shanker joined CEC in 1995 as a Senior Project Engineer, moved into a Mechanical Engineering Management role and currently holds the Technical Director position. Prior to joining CEC, Mr. Subramaniam worked for other oven and furnace manufacturers in the US, and as partner in a family owned thermal processing equipment company in India. Shanker holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT in Madras, India, a M.S.M.E from the University of Kentucky and a M.B.A in Management of technology from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.
